What the official advisory says
The Nanan police advisory of 3 April 2026 tells cyclists entering the island to use the designated cycle lane and yield to sightseeing vehicles, pedestrians and children. This differs from older access notices; check publication dates.
Confirm three things before leaving
Confirm bicycle access, the entry point and permitted sections. If arriving by car with a bicycle, check vehicle booking and parking separately. Do not assume an unrestricted full-island circuit.
Keep your first visit flexible
Choose a short section with an easy return and allow time for breaks. Slow down near crowds, walk the bike when needed and follow local signs and staff instructions.
